Eleanor Forrest



Head of The Academy & Tots teacher


Eleanor began her training at the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance on the Isle of Wight and enhanced this training as a Senior Associate at the Royal Ballet School and a Pre-senior at Central School of Ballet, London. She trained professionally at Central School of Ballet graduating in 1999 after touring with Ballet Central in her 3rd year where she was given solo roles.

​Since graduating she has worked as a dancer in companies such as

English National Ballet, English National Opera, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Vienna Festival Ballet and has toured throughout the UK, Europe, Asia, Dubai and U.S.A performing the major ballets as well as more contemporary works.

​Her career has been extensive and other credits include: Martin Creed Work 1020 (Ballet), “Streetdance the Movie”, 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony, “The Snowman” West End, Bulgari ‘Save the Children Event’, Volkovtsi Cossacks and Balletomania. Photoshoots for London College of Fashion, Central St. Martin’s College of Art, Camberwell College of Art, The Edge Picture Company and Guardian Online.


​In 2009 Eleanor qualified as a teacher after being awarded the Professional Dancers’ Teaching Diploma (PDTD) from the Royal Academy of Dance. Since then she has taught the R.A.D syllabi at a leading Prep school where she was Head of Dance. While there, Eleanor also taught creative dance within the P.E department and choreographed the annual school ballet show and scholarship dances as well as preparing children for their exams.

In addition, Eleanor has taught in Vocational schools in London, professional classes and adult ballet.

​Eleanor has been a faculty member of RJDA and Ballet Tots since September 2012 and she is delighted to be able to pass on her enthusiasm and love of the art form to the children of the School.
